Dr. Allison Wara was born and raised near Ottawa, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science degree in Honors Zoology and later, the Atlantic Veterinary College with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

Following graduation, Dr. Wara worked for several years at a small animal general practice hospital in Ottawa before pursuing a post-doctoral residency program in clinical nutrition at the University of Missouri. She worked for 3 years on faculty at the University’s Veterinary College where she taught senior level vet students in the clinical years of the curriculum. During this time, she also served as Director of the veterinary hospital’s Physical Rehabilitation and Nutrition Clinic.
Dr. Wara is currently a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Nutrition and works as a Veterinary Clinical Nutritionist and Scientific Communications Specialist for Royal Canin Canada.
Thanks to the generosity of Royal Canin, this dinner talk will be free to QDVA members, non-members and staff. Attendance is limited to about 70 people. To ensure all members can be accommodated, some registration restrictions apply. Each attending veterinarian can bring two lay staff. Please register by 5 p.m., Friday, March 6th, 2020. If we still have room after the deadline, an email will be sent out inviting more staff members to attend.
The session will be held as usual at the Belleville Club, starting at 6 p.m. sharp. Doors open at 5:30. p.m.
