“Cat Healthy” with Dr Liz O’Brien – Oct 28th

The talk “Cat Healthy ” featuring Dr. Elizabeth O’Brien has been scheduled for 28th Oct, 2015 (Wednesday – 6.00 PM). She graduated from OVC in 1985 and became a Diplomate, American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in feline practice in 1999 and is the owner of two successful feline only practices in Ancaster and Hamilton, Ontario where she continues to be a passionate advocate for the welfare of cats and a much in demand speaker. Her involvement with the successful “Year of the Cat” initiative in 2011 led to a partnership with CVMA to promote Preventive Healthcare for Cats in 2012. In 2014, she won the CVMA Small Animal Practitioner Award.

“Dr. Liz” is the visionary for Cat Healthy, whose mission is to improve the quality and desirability of cat care working with all cat communities and by giving veterinary clinics practical, care enhancing tools. Through her leadership Dr. Liz brought together Canada’s six board certified feline practitioners and industry members Bayer Inc., Hill’s Pet Nutrition Canada,  IDEXX Laboratories,  Merial and  Petsecure Pet Health Insurance. to create Preventive Healthcare Protocols for Cats. The protocols, along with other clinic tools, were first released are available at cathealthy.ca

This dinner talk starting at 6.00 PM will be free to QDVA members and staff. The cost for non-member DVMs and staff is $65 per person.
Attendance is limited to about 70 people. To be sure all members can be accommodated, some registration restrictions will apply. Each attending veterinarian can bring two lay staff.
