Nicole received her BSc degree in Molecular Biology and genetics from the University of Guelph and her DVM degree from Ross University in 2002. In addition to her small animal clinical practice experience, Dr. DeFraeye has also worked as an Emergency and Critial Care Veterinarian and as an Associate Professor at both the Stautzenberger College in Ohio and the University of Guelph’s Ridgetown College teaching in the veterinary technician program. She is currently on the Advisory Board Committee of the Veterinary Technology Program at the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus and is on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association.
When Nicole is not working she enjoys time spent with her husband boating, traveling and hiking with the dogs.
Nicole has been part of the Zoetis Veterinary Operations Team (formerly Pfizer Animal Health) since 2008 and currently holds the position of Senior Manager, Veterinary Operations Companion Animal for Zoetis Canada. Dr. DeFraeye strives to provide clinical experience with the most up to date scientific information to help clinicians maintain the highest standards of medicine and is looking forward to a meaningful discussion about new solutions to parasite and disease prevention.
Parasites infesting ones’ pet are unpleasant to discover, and can transmit or cause disease. Pet owners don’t want them in or on their pets, and neither do you. Educating clients starts when they are still at your practice. Your guidance is critical to help them understand the risks and choose the best parasite protection solution for their pets.
Thanks to the generosity of Zoetis, this dinner talk will be free to QDVA members and staff. The cost for non-member DVMs and staff is $65 per person.
Attendance is limited to about 70 people. To ensure all members can be accommodated, some registration restrictions apply. Each attending veterinarian can bring two lay staff. Please register by 5 p.m., Monday, 13th Feb, 2017. If we still have room after the deadline, an email will be sent out inviting more staff members to attend.
The session will be held as usual at the Belleville Club, starting at 6 p.m. sharp. Doors open at 5:30. p.m.
